Six Senses Spas
Six Senses Spas has resort and city-based spas across Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and America. Last year, under its new management, Six Senses developed a fresh corporate identity, focussing on establishing consistently high standards across its business while creating partnerships with companies that share their values. The refocus included rebranding its livery and the uniform designs were inspired by the new colour palette of bright olive, pebble grey and pearl white.
The uniforms had to be suitable for staff working in different locations across the world, and had to work with a variety of body shapes. Vice President Anna Bjurstam said, “Sustainability is an important part of the Six Senses ethos, but the uniforms also had to fit in with the brand and the diversity of the organisation.” Fashionizer was selected because of its experience and expertise in the spa marketplace and its proven track-record in the development of organic and natural fibre uniforms. Six Senses promote sustainability and the company has a strong commitment to maintaining the ecology and biodiversity in the host region. Fashionizer has designed and supplied uniforms for spas and hotels in more than 40 countries, but this is their first global uniform contract involving single branded design concept to be introduced across multiple territories. It follows the success of Fashionizer’s Europe-wide programme for Aspria, the exclusive sports and health club group, which launched in 2012.
The brief was to ensure that the designs should be contemporary, practical, and reflect the brand values of the company: sustainability, attention to detail and in harmony with its brand colours. The collection, made in Fashionizer’s exclusive organic CPF, comprises of skirts, trousers, jackets and tunics for therapists and spa reception staff, and includes designs for both men and women. The style of the jackets and unisex Thai trousers are influenced by Six Senses’ Thai origins and the colours reflect their branding, using their new colour palette.
Six Senses five star hotels, resorts and spas are based across the globe. The brand is synonymous with a unique luxury experience that is authentic, personal and sustainable. In 2013 under new management, Six Senses developed a fresh corporate identity. The aim was to promote sustainability and maintain the ecology and biodiversity in the host region. The company focused on establishing consistently high standards across its business while creating partnerships with companies that share their values. This means it was important for Six Senses to have sustainable uniforms. In addition the uniforms had to fit in with the brand identity as well as the diversity of the organisation. Six Senses chose Fashionizer because of its experience and expertise in the spa uniform marketplace and its proven track record in the development of organic and natural fibre uniforms.
It is with great pleasure and excitement that we are presenting our new uniforms. Following the wearer trail, much discussion and changes have been made in order to come to this final version, which I am delighted with. Debbie and her team from Fashionizer have been working diligently to get everything ready as soon as absolutely possible and we are looking forward to seeing the results in all our spas.
