Aspria was founded in 2000 as a private members sports, spa and health club and has since set the benchmark for private members clubs in Europe, expanding its offering to include hotel rooms, restaurants and crèche facilities spanning across Belgium, Germany and Italy. All eight Clubs are set in stunning grounds in key locations and offer a combination of sport and relaxation in a luxurious environment.
The Aspria project provided a new challenge for the team at Fashionizer and added a new dimension to the company’s international credentials. The project involved creating a bespoke uniform suitable for and delivered to a multi location European operation including on site installation and fittings.
There were a number of unique challenges on this project:
I retained Fashionizer to provide the bespoke design and European delivery in keeping with the company’s new branding. During this time, I found Fashionizer to be extremely professional, knowledgeable and direct in their management of our project. Due to the pan-European nature of our business, it was extremely complex however, Fashionizer developed a detailed schedule of delivery and in all cases they were punctual, delivering to each site on time and as specified. The complexity of a uniform programme, across multiple sites, requires accuracy and considerable internal management. Fashionizer’s advice and guidance is borne out of experience and should be followed wherever possible.
Beth Aarons, Group HR Director for Aspria Holdings BV
Brain Morris CEO of Aspria says
"We really love a challenge, and we'll take on projects with a level of complexity that many operators would shy away from. That's what makes Aspria different, and that's how we'll keep innovating and hold our position as the market leader for premium clubs in Europe."
Fashionizer’s uniform program had to respond to Aspria’s vision of complexity by tailoring services to fit in with their requirements. Our production team responded by planning and following a multipart logistics plan: coordinating closely with the HR managers in each club, our own “fitting teams” and a specialist garment freight forwarder, to ensure the timely arrival of all uniforms equipment and staff at each location. This guaranteed the successful roll out of 2,500 garments to 500 staff over a 10 week period without a single hitch!
The consistency of the Aspria brand really comes to life when all the different uniforms are seen together in the Aspria club environment. The consistent use of the company’s corporate brand colours of strong blue blends and navy coordinates with all other marketing materials. Management and Front of House staff have classic tailored garments made in a traditional navy pinstripe English wool evoking the Saville Row look and standards of the Aspria CEO. Spa uses Fashionizer’s Cotton Performance Fabric in the bright blue Aspria corporate colour and navy, and Food and Beverage staff use the same shirts as Front of House with The Buziness black poly-cotton trousers.
Catherine Marsden, Corporate Communications Manager at Aspria commented ‘Our clubs are for people who want to get the most out of life, and they expect the very best. Uniquely designed uniforms for staff across all departments provided by Fashionizer means the luxury feel is stitched into every detail of the resort.’
